USB Rector Pavel Kozák presented diplomas to five newly appointed associate professors
At the meeting of the Scientific Council of the University of South Bohemia on Wednesday, 30 October 2024, the Rector of the University of South Bohemia, prof. Ing. Pavel Kozák, Ph.D. awarded diplomas to five newly appointed associate professors.
doc. Ing. Marek Kopecký, Ph.D. from the USB Faculty of Agriculture and Technology was appointed associate professor for the field of "General Plant Production" with effect from 1 April 2024 and defended his habilitation thesis on "Soil organic matter and its influence on soil fertility".
doc. Mgr. Petr Šuleř, Ph.D. from the University of Technology and Economics in České Budějovice was appointed associate professor in the field of "Economics and Management" with effect from 1 April 2024 and defended his habilitation thesis on "Economic tools and their role for sectoral analysis with emphasis on the transport sector".
doc. RNDr. Libor Ekrt, Ph.D. from the USB Faculty of Science was appointed associate professor for the field of "Botany" with effect from 1 April 2024 and defended his habilitation thesis on "Stories of two life stages: reproduction modes, genome size, diversity and interactions among gametophytes and among sporophytes in ferns".
doc. Ing. Martin Janda, Ph.D. from the USB Faculty of Science was appointed associate professor in the field of "Plant Physiology" with effect from 1 May 2024 and defended his habilitation thesis on "Weapon systems in plant-pathogen interactions: focus on salicylic acid and extracellular vesicles".
doc. RNDr. Lenka Plavcová, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Science of the Czech University of Agriculture was appointed associate professor in the field of "Plant Physiology" with effect from 1 July 2024 and defended her habilitation thesis on "Functional biology of wood: from structure to function".
