We are members of the Global Development and Sustainability Research Network

In August, the University of South Bohemia became a proud member of the Czech Research Network for Global Development and Sustainability (CRENDES) and, together with other universities and institutions, made clear the need for cooperation in the field of research, global development and sustainability.

"As part of the implementation of the National Renewal Plan project on green skills and sustainability in universities, a proposal to join the network was made by other researchers," said the USB Bursar Michal Hojdekr, adding that membership is closed to the whole university for one year for now.

CRENDES brings together a wide range of professionals working at Czech universities and research institutions in various fields, and the organisation regularly organises networking meetings for its members. "I will be very happy if the university takes full advantage of this membership, including in the field of national and international research projects on global development and sustainability," Hojdekr also said.

In addition to individual members, CRENDES brings together the following institutions:

- ČZU - Faculty of Tropical Agriculture

- University of Ostrava - Faculty of Science

- MENDELU

- PU - Department of Development and Environmental Studies

- CzechGlobe
