At the meeting of the Scientific Council of the University of South Bohemia on March 5, 2025, Rector Pavel Kozák handed over diplomas to two newly appointed associate professors.
Dr. phil. Jakub Sirovátka from the USB Faculty of Theology was appointed associate professor in the field of "Philosophy" as of December 1, 2024. He defended his habilitation thesis titled "Autonomy and Alterity – Kant and Phenomenology."
Ing. Martin Pech, Ph.D., from the USB Faculty of Economics was appointed associate professor in the field of "Economics and Management" as of February 1, 2025. He defended his habilitation thesis titled "Implementation and Integration of Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 in the Manufacturing Sector."
