Students of the USB Faculty of Education will lead three-month Czech language courses in Podgorica and Cetinje

The leadership of the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia, together with the Faculty of Montenegrin Language and Literature, the Faculty of Philology, and the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Montenegro, has signed memorandums of cooperation.

To mark the launch of an intensive three-month free course in Czech language and culture in Montenegro, a conference was held at the European House in Podgorica.

Prof. PhDr. Miloš Zelenka, DrSc., head of the Department of Slavic Languages at the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia, highlighted the long-standing tradition of cooperation and mutual ties between Montenegro and the Czech Republic. He added that the idea of the course arose as an expression of the Czech Republic's diplomatic interest in the democratic development of Montenegro.

Over the next three months, approximately 50 students from Montenegrin faculties will participate in the free intensive Czech language and culture course at the Faculty of Montenegrin Language in Cetinje and the Faculty of Political Science and the Faculty of Philology in Podgorica.

So far, 26 students from the Faculty of Language and Literature and approximately 20 students from the Faculty of Political Science and the Faculty of Philology at the University of Montenegro have enrolled in the three-month course. The courses in Cetinje will be led by students from the Department of Slavic Languages and Literature: Zuzana Bartáková, Kateřina Jiskrová, Štěpánka Machová, and Edita Sovová. In Podgorica, teaching will be conducted by Marie Vilimovská, Eliška Kolářová, Aneta Nosková, and Svatava Soldátová
