For the thirteenth time, the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice offered its students a job fair

For the thirteenth time, the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia organised the Job Day 2023 job fair for students of all faculties – a place where all students and graduates of the University of South Bohemia could not only get acquainted with the current job offer and news on the labour market but also gain interesting contacts and have the opportunity to arrange an internship or an internship.

After a covid hiatus, this proven format returned to the University of South Bohemia, specifically to the ground floor of the USB Refectory, where 25 major companies from the region presented themselves to students, graduating classes and fresh graduates on two days, 25 and 26 April 2023, from 10:45 to 14:00. Companies of different sizes and fields of specialisation presented their activities and job vacancies, so all students were able to find their place, which was reflected in the participation at this fair. Attendance was very high on both days, but in addition to networking, there were also various competitions and tastings.

The USB Career Centre was also available throughout the fair for all students, presenting not only its offer of lectures and career-related workshops but also reminding them of its main focus – helping students with CVs, preparing them for interviews, advising them with cover letters or supporting their personal growth.

‘Job Day is a proven and historically successful event and we are therefore very pleased that the fair could be held again after a four-year hiatus. We would like to thank all the companies and institutions that participated, it was clear from the participation of students that their offer was very interesting for them,’ says the Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia, doc. RNDr. Zuzana Dvořáková Líšková, Ph.D. She personally greeted all exhibitors and thus opened both days of the job fair.

Vice-Dean for Development Ing. Monika Maříková, Ph.D., adds, 'The event was intended primarily for students of the University of South Bohemia, but we are also happy to see interested members of the public. Job Day is a chance for companies to present themselves but also an opportunity for students to gain an understanding of the labour market and to make interesting contacts during their studies.'
