The cycling challenge ABC is back! The entire University of South Bohemia will be on bikes again, this time already during May

Prepare your bikes, motivate your mind, and let’s help a good cause once again! The cycling challenge begins at the University of South Bohemia on May 1, 2025!
Throughout the month, we have the chance to EMBRACE MOVEMENT, IMPROVE OUR HEALTH, SUPPORT THE ENVIRONMENT, COMPETE, and most importantly – HELP PEOPLE AND FAMILIES WITH AUTISM. Every kilometer cycled counts!
During the challenge, we’ve prepared some great prizes for you – the first 60 riders (30 women and 30 men) who cycle 150 km (details in the rules below) will receive a cycling jacket, perfect for future trips and clocking up more kilometers. At the end of May, we will announce the main winners of ABC 2025 – the best male rider, female rider, and team – and we have amazing gifts for them too!
Whether you ride solo or as part of a team, remember that throughout May, you can cycle anywhere, for either sport or relaxation.
The most important rule for ABC 2025 is to register all riders via Naviki using your UNIVERSITY EMAIL (if you already have an account, you can easily update your email).
General rules for ABC
- Participation from 1. 5. 2025 to 31. 5. 2025
- To count your ride towards the challenge, the following rules apply: maximum speed of 60 km/h, average speed of 30 km/h, and a maximum ride length of ≤ 150 km – so don’t forget to take breaks, as winning is not worth risking an injury!
- All types of bikes are allowed (city bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, e-bikes, etc.).
- You can ride wherever you want – it is not necessary to ride only in České Budějovice.
- Participants can form teams – the minimum number of riders in a team is 5, and the maximum is 25 (each person can join only one team).
And don’t forget – South Bohemia is truly a paradise for all categories of cycling enthusiasts, with an extensive network of marked cycling trails, and České Budějovice is an active cycling city that values environmental protection. The University of South Bohemia is proud to be part of it, and we are ready to showcase our activity to the whole world!
