The rectors of partner universities in the KreativEU alliance met at Trnava University

The first meeting of the rectors of partner universities in the KreativEU consortium took place on March 14th at Trnava University in Trnava. The General Assembly of KreativEU is the highest governing body of the consortium and oversees the strategic direction of this European Universities alliance. This meeting marked the formal launch of the entire project. Nine rectors, including Pavel Kozák, the rector of the University of South Bohemia, along with other representatives of member universities, attended the event. As a symbol of unity and collaboration within the new alliance, they jointly raised the KreativEU flag in front of Trnava University.

The University of South Bohemia joined the prestigious European Universities alliance KreativEU at the beginning of 2025, placing itself among European universities recognized for their high level of internationalization. The project's goal is to connect universities across Europe, support cultural heritage, arts, traditions, and folklore, and create a platform for shared European values.

Membership in KreativEU also opens up opportunities for the University of South Bohemia to secure funding for large-scale projects and to share research infrastructure.

Currently, there are 64 European Universities alliances, involving 10% of Europe's higher education institutions.
