Projekty lorem ipsum: Mgr. Jana Kozubíková Šandová, Ph.D., completed her master’s degree in teaching English and German at the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. She earned her PhD in English Philology at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno. In her dissertation, she focused on a pragmatic-semantic analysis of linguistic means expressing speaker involvement in the genre of political interviews. From 2007 to 2016, she worked as an assistant professor at the Department of English at the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia, where she taught Pragmatics, the history of the English language, Lexicology, and Introduction to English Linguistics. During her time at the Faculty of Education, she completed several international scholarship and study programs (University of Augsburg, University of Vienna). She regularly participates in both domestic and international conferences. Her earlier research focused on the analysis of political and scientific discourse, topics at the intersection of Pragmatics and Semantics, such as the pragmatic functions of linguistic means that strengthen or weaken the illocutionary force of statements, speaker involvement, pragmatic aspects of communication, etc. She has published scholarly articles in these areas and, in 2014, a monograph entitled Speaker Involvement in Political Interviews. She has also explored the ways in which ideology is expressed in political discourse. On this topic, she gave an invited lecture titled "(Inter)subjective and Ideological Discourse Structures in Political Interviews" at the University of the Basque Country, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. In recent years, her research has shifted to the historical development of the English language, specifically questions related to supralocalisation tendencies in English and their impact on the standardisation of written English.
