He graduated in the study of the program Accounting and Financial Management at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice at the Faculty of Agricultural. Since 2000 he has worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Accounting and Finance in the specialization of accounting and finance. Since 2010 he held the position as a deputy head of this department and since 2023 he was appointed head of the department. In 2003 he was appointed educational consultant for the study program Accounting and Financial Management. In 2005, he completed a doctoral program in Economics and Management. He is an investigator of several research grants (National Agency for Agricultural Research; Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports; Education Development Fund, and Internal grants of the University of South Bohemia). He is also the cooperation coordinator with professional accounting organizations (ACCA - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Certification Institute of the Association of Accountants of the Czech Republic). During his stay abroad, he attended lectures in many European countries (France, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Serbia, etc.). He is the author of numerous scientific and professional publications and university textbooks. In his private practice, he deals with accounting and financial advisory services, particularly in the economic analysis of EU projects.
