  • Faculty: Faculty of Science
  • Type of study: postgraduate master
  • Length of study: 2 years
  • Language of instruction: Czech
  • Form of study: full-time
  • Programme code: N0533A110005

About the programme

The goal of the program is to provide a master's degree to graduates who will have a deep theoretical mathematical and physical foundation for understanding advanced physical phenomena and experience with advanced physical measurement techniques. They will be able to not only measure physical processes experimentally but also model them using appropriate software. They will also be introduced to software for data processing, visualization and experiment control. Students will expand their existing knowledge with graduate courses on advanced physical measurement and modelling, especially optical measurements, plasma technologies, audio signal processing, electron microscopy, particle and continuum computer modelling, physical process modelling, experiment control, nuclear physics and energy, and flow modelling. The Master's degree offers a wide range of employment opportunities, but graduates also have the option of completing their education with a PhD in Applied Physics or Biophysics.
