Since 1996, the Association of Innovative Entrepreneurship of the Czech Republic has announced the annual competition for the Innovation of the Year Award under the auspices of the President of the Republic. One of the main parameters is that it must be a completely new innovative product launched on the market in the last three years. This year, the Technology Transfer Office of USB entered a new educational material for pre-school education, which was trademarked - Školkotelka. It is a product developed and verified in practice by leading experts in preschool education from the Department of Primary and Pre-Primary Education of the USB Faculty of Education and supported by an internal PoC verification project. Subsequently, it was licensed by Infra, s.r.o. and after entering the Innovation of the Year Award, it advanced to the final selection. It is a comprehensive set of methodological materials, activities and themes, including videos and a portfolio for the whole year for the education of preschool children. It is ideal for home education and for the work of teachers in kindergartens according to the RVP PV. During the award ceremony, which took place on 3 December 2024 in the beautiful premises of the Old Town Hall in Prague, the innovation of the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia Školkotelka was awarded the honorary mention and 3rd place.
