On Wednesday, 15 May 2024, representatives of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, the USB Faculty of Arts, the USB Faculty of Economics and the USB Faculty of Science welcomed the Ambassador of Mexico to the Czech Republic, H.E. Berenice Díaz Ceballos.
The meeting focused on strengthening the long-term relations and cultural exchange between the Czech Republic and Mexico, the importance of which for both countries was once again reiterated by the Ambassador. During a short presentation, representatives of the University presented their cooperation with Mexican institutions and then discussed the possibilities of further cooperation and initiatives in the field of education and culture with the Ambassador. All participants agreed that bilateral student exchanges and academic cooperation are one of the priorities of mutual cooperation and should be further promoted.
The meeting was immediately followed by the opening of the exhibition '100 aniversario de las relaciones diplomáticas México-República Checa', which is being held as part of the Ibero-American Week 2024. The exhibition, which traces the 100-year history of diplomatic relations between the two countries, can be seen in the lobby of the Faculty of Arts until 7 June 2024.
