New 3D printing training centre at USB - keeping up with the industry leaders

The USB Faculty of Science has become one of the 11 official training centres of the PRUSA EDUCATION programme built by the leader in 3D printing, PRUSA RESEARCH. The use and teaching of 3D printing has a deep history at the faculty.  Long-term cooperation, active use of the company's technologies together with the professional approach, commitment and results of Mgr. Jakub Geyer, Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science have contributed to the fact that we have passed the strict criteria that PRUSA RESEARCH requires to ensure the excellence of its teaching centers.

Starting from the winter semester 2024/25, the Faculty of Science will organize courses and workshops according to the following current training offer:

  • Basic user training for 3D printing

The 1-day training courses are designed especially for schools and educational institutions. In the near future, there are plans to expand the training centre's services to the public and corporate sector.
