The University of South Bohemia organizes the opening conference of the KreativEU project

On 22 January 2025, the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice will host the opening conference of the KreativEU project, which aims to bring together universities across Europe to promote cultural heritage, art, traditions and folklore in the context of shared European values.

The KreativEU project officially started its activities on 1 January 2025. The alliance of universities associated with this project emphasises cultural diversity as a basis for cohesion, equality, sustainability and peace, while focusing on innovation in education, science, economics and other areas of development.

The conference will present not only the KreativEU project, but also the objectives and concrete activities that the universities plan to implement under this initiative. The meeting will be attended by members of the management of the University of South Bohemia, project partners, representatives of cultural institutions (e.g. the South Bohemian Museum or the Alšova Gallery), representatives of the City of České Budějovice, the European City of Culture 2028, the South Bohemian Tourism Centre and other important institutions.

The opening conference will take place under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The University of South Bohemia thus confirms its key role in promoting European cultural cooperation and innovation.

Other partners involved in the KreativEU project, the so-called associated partners, are the Statutory City of České Budějovice, South Bohemian Region, South Bohemian Centre for Tourism, South Bohemian Museum, National Heritage Institute, National Library of the Czech Republic, South Bohemian Philharmonic Orchestra, South Bohemian Theatre, Alšova  Gallery and the ESN USB Budweis.
