Working meeting on the Heritage Game project at the University of Trnava

On 18-21 November 2024, a working meeting of representatives of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (JU in České Budějovice) and the University of Trnava in Trnava (TUT) took place at the University of Trnava within the Heritage Game project. This project is part of the Kreativ EU consortium of universities. The Heritage Game project aims to increase the involvement of communities and citizens in the protection and promotion of cultural heritage in sparsely populated areas, to create tools for gamification in this area, to promote cooperation between communities and academics, and to disseminate the benefits of these approaches. This meeting was a key step in the preparation of an international seminar organized by TUT in collaboration with the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia, intended for the public, academics, students and practitioners. The international seminar will be thematically focused on the issues of cultural and natural heritage and the application of gamification tools in practice.

We cordially invite all those interested in the subject to the International Seminar Heritage Game, which will take place from 27 to 31 January 2025 at the University of Trnava.

A new interactive web mapping application was launched during the workshop. The map is created by a Czech team and presents geolocations and brief descriptions of case studies of best practices in the field of gamification of cultural heritage in seven countries - Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey.
