International Board

The University of South Bohemia International Council (USB International Council) represents an advisory body to the Rector for assessing the direction and quality of the USB's educational and creative activities. The Rector of USB appoints members of the USB International Council for the period of 5 years after a discussion with the Rector's board. The International Council of USB is composed of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 members, who belong to respected international experts who have long been acting out of the territory of the Czech Republic.

The USB International Council provides opinions and recommendations in the area of the newly developed study programmes and the future direction of the intended degree programmes at USB, comments the areas of education where USB endeavors for accreditation, or suggests procedures to possible improvements of the overall educational concept at USB. The USB International Council offers incentives to improve the organization and processes of the USB's scientific and research activities, to conceptual issues and, based on the Rector's request, performs evaluation of individuals or teams proposed for grants, medals and USB awards.

Communication between the Rector of USB and members of the USB International Council occurs via email. Meetings of the USB International Council are held at least once in five years. In that case, travel and subsistence expenses are reimbursed by the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.

The appointment of members of the USB International Council for the next five years took place on 1st January 2018.
